The Role

Reporting to the general Manager, you will be responsible for the management of all company erection sub-contracts. You will hold responsibility for ensuring that contracts are procured, planned, executed and completed within established financial and time constraints and in-line with company process.

 

  1. Procurement

You will be responsible for the procurement of sub-contract erection companies, ensuring appropriate levels of competence, resource and experience suitable for the specific project relating to their appointment.

Contracts will be awarded in a fair and transparent manner, with consideration given to budgetary constraints, terms of engagement and suitable protection for the company against untimely, dangerous or sub-standard working practices.

The sub-contract order will be procured to include all items agreed at point of sale and any supplementary information within the sales handover. The agreement of extra/over items in variance to the sub-contract order will only be accepted if found to be in error within the design process or at the request of the client.

 

  1. Management

You will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate levels of Health and Safety, workmanship, resource and recording of information are maintained throughout the construction phase of individual projects.

The public image of the company shall be maintained at all times by personnel acting on its behalf on-site. Appropriate levels of PPE, presentation and a pro-active attitude with our clients and management team shall be monitored and maintained.

The recording of site activity, and the issue and completion of company paperwork relating to site works shall be maintained at all times, and shall be subject to periodic inspection.

Site programmes will be devised in cooperation with the client and the sub-contract erection team, and you will be responsible for ensuring time-lines are issued and maintained in line with agreed parameters.

You will hold responsibility for agreeing the sub-contractor invoices and approving variations extra/over to contracted works. You should liaise with the board and the accounts department to ensure payments are made correctly and in line with service provided and terms agreed.

You will be required to provide design with information relating to issues encountered on-site that require remedial action, and ensuring that extra/over costs incurred are passed through to the sub-contract designers/engineers.

Should the need arise, you will be expected to implement disciplinary procedures against sub-contractors or any employee under your direct supervision.

 

  1. Financial

You will hold responsibility for agreeing the sub-contractor invoices and approving variations extra/over to contracted works. You should liaise with the general manager, board and the accounts department to ensure payments are made correctly and in line with service provided and terms agreed.

You will be required to provide design with information relating to issues encountered on-site that require remedial action, and ensuring that extra/over costs incurred are passed through to the sub-contract designers/engineers.

You will be required to liaise with clients on occasion to discuss financial issues; this will be co-ordinated alongside the board and accounts department.
